The trees were originally planted during the time of Rodolfo’s great-great-grandfather. However, thanks to a smart pruning technique, the Bourbon trees continue to grow and produce a significant yield.
\nThe fact that these trees are still alive and so productive is remarkable, especially considering the average lifespan of a coffee tree is 30 years.<\/p>\n
The cherries are handpicked and immediately transferred to raised African beds for drying.<\/p>\n
